 Low-income Apartments for Rent in Sacramento I 2012
Below is a list of 103 low-income apartments for rent locations. There are 46 for families, 54 senior apartments and 3 for disabled. The list is organized by area of Sacramento and surrounding counties for your travel convenience. A strategy is to contact each apartment complex in the area you want to live and obtain an application from each one, all on the same day. Then, after you turn in your applications (all in one day) and go to the screenings, then move into the first place that has an opening from their waiting list. At that time, stay on the waiting list for the apartment you want and move in when available. This is because all of the income-based apartments have a waiting list, some longer than others. The wait is worth it in the end you will permanently have the perfect place to live. Below is Regional Transit bus and Light Rail maps, including a zip code map. At the bottom of the page, or the left navigation, is a menu of housing agencies that offer income-restricted or affordable housing. The entire process may take, two days for applications, 3 to 18 months on the waiting list, but after that it is “Home Sweet Home”.
