Affordable Housing for Rent and Housing Assistance Programs I 2012
Each of the organizations below offer Income-restricted and/or subsidized housing. Included are low-income housing resources for people with disabilities, mental health challenges, seniors and more. The best way to use the list is to locate the properties you want to lease and call each or them and ask for a vacancy status of the unit you want. If the property is available, then fill out the application. Tip: Always find out if your application is for the entire complex or just the unit you are applying for, because some apartment complexes charge a "credit check fee" for each applicant even after the first applicant is eligible. You may even ask if there are applicants before you, and if they will not tell you how many people are ahead of you, then you may be wasting your credit check fee. If you find this type of credit check fee “exploitation”, please post a comment about it in the Forum. We have included words in "blue" that lead to their own website or individual list of units for rent and all links open in a new window so feel free to explore.
