Homeless Shelters and Emergency Housing in Sacramento I 2012

There nineteen shelters listed below with seven additional services for people who are homeless. All of the shelters for women, men and families have a long waiting list. You must call each one and give a telephone intake or show up at their designated place and time to be put on their waiting list. You will also need to have a TB test done in order to receive a bed space. Here is a link to that resource Homeless TB testing>>. In addition, you should ask the shelter if you are required to apply for Cal Works or other County aid, most will require you to apply. There are no shelters for men with children; instead, dads with children apply to the family shelters. Also, there is no shelter for children with disabilities. Parents of children with special needs and/or disabilities apply to the shelters according to gender or family unit structure. We have included words in "blue" that you can explore & provide you with information that is more detailed, so feel free to explore and each link open in a new window. Now see the list of Emergency Shelters! J
